Beautiful fall colors on the East Coast. Unlike Minnesota, the wind doesn’t come up and rip all the leaves of the trees during fall. We’ve enjoyed a few weeks of brilliant colors and we’ll enjoy a few weeks more!
On our second weekend in New York we headed up to the Adirondacks for some hiking. We hiked up Mt. Wright (not a euphemism for my wife) and enjoyed the scenery. We had to park back a few miles from the trailhead so it ended up being a 13mi round trip. After the hike we spent some time in Lake Placid and enjoyed the area.
We drove from Minnesota to Maine for our big vacation in 2008. We spent an equal amount of time in New York as we did Maine. We pretty much avoided all the big cities too, it was great. We ate plenty of seafood and even had delicious crab and lobster at a campground.
